Brighten your flooring with some well chosen floor pillows
When remodeling or designing a bedroom or living room, decorative floor pillows may come to mind especially if the
cozy, comfortable, inviting look is desired. Also, called lounging pillows, these easy seating arrangements will
allow an easier flow of conversation, while eliminating formality.
Designed with the consumer in mind, decorative floor pillows come in small to extra large sizes and most have
removable covers for easier cleaning. For those residing in an apartment, limited space prevents having a separate
room for company or just hanging out. Adding some large and small pillows of all shapes and sizes will give the
appearance of more seating space than there actually is. Large, square or rectangle pillows are the best to sit on,
and rounder, softer, pillows are ideal for leaning and relaxing against.
College students who live in dorms, never seem to have enough space to just sit and read or study, but with
decorative floor pillows, the problem is solved. A corner space beside the bed is the perfect place to throw some
decorator pillows. Stack them, display them neatly, or just plop them on the floor or against a wall. Let
imagination and creativity take over.
Teenagers love to have their friends drop by, but there never seems to be enough room for everyone to sit on the
bed, so inexpensive, decorative floor pillows will add extra seating, and with a velcro enclosure, washing the
pillow cover is even easier. Bean bags are another type of seating which is similar to a pillow in that it does not
take up a lot of space, has a removable cover, and will conform to the body when sitting or lying on it.
Bean bags can be pushed up to a wall and made to look just like a soft chair also. Floor pillows and bean bags come
in all colors and designs, so choosing one to complement a room is simple and fun. Covers may be interchangeable on
some, so that as the room decor is updated, the floor pillows can follow as well. Decorative floor pillows may be
custom made from a sofa being thrown out and the covers sewn at home, or purchased after measuring the amount of
material needed. Velcro may be used to enclose the pillow cover for easier removal. The options are endless, and
the extra seating will make friends always feel welcome.
